I dislike winter. And the older I get the less it likes me. Toes and fingers get cold way too soon. The swings in temperature are rough on my sinuses. But there are benefits. Bugs tend to die off during periods of cold, the ground and trees go dormant and rest, the weak and brittle bits break off and are gathered up and burned. Certain species of animals migrate and others reproduce. So it’s immaterial whether I like winter or not, winter (the turning of the seasons) is part of GOD’S Perfect Plan. Consider tonight’s offering…

Psalm 74:17 “You have set all the borders of the earth: you have made summer and winter.”

We all go through “spiritual winters”. We experience the cold and sometimes brutal nature of people. We withdraw inside of ourselves to heal and rest. We curl up with GOD in the midst of our loneliness and feel His warmth. The weakest parts of ourselves are purged. And when the spring comes, we burst forth renewed and refreshed. So as much as I dislike winter, (spiritual and otherwise) GOD has a plan for the natural world and for our lives. And winters are part of the plan. Praying we rejoice and accept what GOD is doing in us during these cold seasons. Grace and Peace, Mike

A Non-Denominational Church

Cozad Christian Church is an independent, completely self-governing church with no denominational affiliation. What does that mean? That means there is no denominational hierarchy controlling the affairs of the church. For example: at CCC…

  •  We choose our own staff
  •  We own our own buildings and assets
  •  We determine our own programs
  •  We select our own missionaries and agencies to support
  • We determine the use of all tithes and offerings

The Organization of Our Church
