Tonight’s thoughts are centered on our reaction as Christian’s to today’s circumstances. Today there is a good deal of uncertainty mixed in with a portion of fear. To be sure, fear and uncertainty are normal when we’re faced with the unknown. None of us can know or even control what the next few weeks or months can hold. What we can control is how we react to the uncertainty.
John recorded Jesus’s words at Passover, He taught … In John 7:38 “He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.”
Jesus is quoting Isaiah, verses which were known to most of His listeners. During this present turmoil, we should have rivers of life flowing out of us as a result of our relationship with Christ. What I mean is that we should be offering words of hope and confidence as opposed to echoing the gloom and doom that is the common message in most of the media. Brothers and Sisters, we have the opportunity to demonstrate our faith to not just the lost but to those who are weak in faith. We’re called to be like Jesus, let us all be lights in the darkness and let our words be like rivers of living water. Keeping the Faith! Mike
