Earlier I shared some thoughts on using time wisely and allowing GOD to search our hearts and motives. I want to continue that line of thinking from a position of faith.
Hebrews 11:6 says “Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently search for him.”
Faith is the key that opens the door through which we must pass to get close to GOD. There has had to have been something kindled in our hearts, a flicker of a fire that we need to feed, the fuel to keep the fire burning is GOD. The desire is what stirs us and motivates us to “seek Him”. We can’t search wondering if we’ll find Him, we can’t search willy-nilly, back and forth, zig-sagging here and there and expect results. Our search must be made in faith, believing that He can be found and that we WILL find Him. We need to be as steadfast as the migratory birds traveling thousands of miles through fog, storms, crossing oceans and plains fixed on their destination and determined to get there no matter how much time or energy it takes. Persistence and patience will serve us well as we draw near to GOD. Praying for strength for the journey! Mike
