My daily offering is about investment. We usually think about money we’ve put into some kind of savings account or retirement account. Investing time into a hobby or learning a new trade may come to mind. But my thoughts today are along the lines of investing ourselves. With today’s verse (or any verse we read) we can ask ourselves, “Am I investing myself completely in what this verse is saying?”. If the verse is teaching, am I applying the lesson to the fullest extent possible. If the verse is encouraging, am I allowing GOD to lift my spirit from the depths of despair to the throne of Grace. For us to get the most out of our time in the Word, we must invest ourselves completely without holding back. Then GOD can shape us and guide us in paths of righteousness.
Mark 12:30 “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.”
Today’s verse requires investing ourselves completely. This is commanded by the LORD Jesus Himself. When we give GOD all of ourselves He is able to bless us abundantly more than we can ever imagine. Praying we give Him our all. Mike
